Waiting On Jussi, Martinez to Bilboa

Ali Al Habsi

Coming out of Bolton is that Ali Al Habsi will leave for Wigan for a fee of about £4 million. However Bolton want Jussi Jaaskelainen, to sign a new contract as the Fin only has one year left on his current deal.

Other sources are saying that Aston Villa and West Brom are both looking to swoop in for Ali, but are put off knowing that he has his heart set on a Latics move.

Roberto Martinez

Reports are suggesting that Athletic Bilboa will make an approach for Martinez. The Spanish side last year finish comfortably mid-table and have qualified for the Europa League next season. Whether that will be enough to lure away Martinez its doubtful.

Stephen Quinn

The Sheffield United midfielder could be set to be in the middle of a bidding war between Latics and Swansea. We were looking at the player last season, but he chose to stay at the blades due to his belief they would make it back into the Premier League.

Reports are that a £1.5 million bid may see him make the switch away from Sheffield.

Charles N’Zogbia

News today is that Charlie will snub a move to Liverpool and instead switch to Newcastle, who are ready to line up a £10 million bid for the winger.

However other sources suggest that Newcastle will not pay the £12 million and instead will return with a lower £8 million offer, which was rejected in January.

Essam El Hadary

38 year old Egyptian international, has caught the eye recently of many top flight clubs in England. Although he would not come in as first choice for Latics. He could well come in as back up, another 10 clubs have reportedly looked and made enquiries after the player.
